Milan Managerial Overhaul

AC Milan is undergoing significant leadership and roster changes following disappointing Champions League results. The Italian club has emerged as a potential destination for Mauricio Pochettino, the current USMNT manager, with reports indicating that Milan and Pochettino's camp are nearing a €5 million deal. This development suggests Pochettino may step down from his role leading the United States men's national team after the 2026 World Cup, prioritizing his return to club management at the elite European level.

The managerial shuffle comes as AC Milan appears poised for a broader squad overhaul. The club is reportedly preparing to make significant changes to its roster, signaling dissatisfaction with current performance levels. This restructuring raises questions about the future of established players, including American winger Christian Pulisic, who joined Milan from AC Chelsea. Reports indicate that Pulisic's status at the club has come under scrutiny as Milan reassesses its squad composition under new leadership.

Maximiliano Allegri's appointment at Napoli represents another piece of the shifting managerial landscape in Italian football, further emphasizing the competitive nature of top coaching positions. As Milan pursues its next manager, the club faces decisions about which players fit into the new vision for the team. The convergence of these managerial negotiations and squad planning suggests an extended period of transition for the Rossoneri as they attempt to return to championship contention and restore credibility in European competition.
